Abstract

This research involves the implementation of wireless sensors that take the variables of soil moisture, temperature and humidity of the microclimate, serving as an aid to prevent the proliferation and incidences of behaviors, diseases and pests that affect rice crops, in addition to develop a a virtual platform that will serve as a detailed presentation for the information captured, and this information will be sent in a practical way to emails and any type of cell phone that has a mobile SIM, the latter through the GSM protocol. As a result of the research, it was evidenced that 70% of the population sample does not know about ICT but 97% would be ready to implement low-cost technologies in their crops.  Finally, the project was developed in the framework of non-experimental descriptive research, where we analyzed the variables, but did not manipulate them, only phenomena corresponding to the context of the project were analyzed. The research ffEthodology used was mixed, with them we applied the information collection tools (interviews, surveys and observations). The development methodology chosen for the realization of the virtual platform was the agile SCRUM methodology.
