Abstract

Building on and continuing a previously published work (Delgado, 2016, p. 37), this analysis aims to highlight key ideas that contextualize the relationship between information technologies and the teaching profession—specifically, the teaching–learning dynamic. It is valid to assert that this relationship emerged as a consequence of social, economic, and political modernization processes. It is therefore important to recognize that every process of social development or evolution inherently implies a corresponding transformation in the educational system. As such, the educational system must respond to the interests and needs of each era, and consequently, must strengthen the training process of those who are prepared to undertake this evolving educational role.
